Lesson 60

We Spoke or We Speak?

Language Transfer Complete Spanish is by Mihalis Eleftheriou. Listen to the original audio first; use these notes for revision.

The "we" preterite for -AR verbs is identical to the present: hablamos = we speak OR we spoke. Context clarifies — the rest of the sentence tells you which one. For -ER/-IR: comimos/vivimos (different from present comemos/vivimos).

Cuando = when. Ayer = yesterday. A menudo = often.

Nos perdimos = we got lost ("we lost ourselves"). Siempre nos perdemos = we always get lost.
