This Privacy Policy explains how Motifluent collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services.

By using Motifluent, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

• sign-in data from third-party login providers such as Apple or Google when you choose those methods;
• profile and preference data, such as your native language, current learning language, autoplay setting, onboarding status, and notification preferences;
• learning activity, such as lessons created, vocabulary status, saved meanings, applied meanings, bookmarks, review activity, lesson progress, and language selections;
• subscription and entitlement information, such as premium status, renewal-related events, and transcription-minute usage;
• technical and session data needed to keep you signed in and secure the service, including authentication sessions and website cookies;
• device push tokens if you enable notifications;
• support communications and feedback you send us.

When you create lessons from supported songs or podcast episodes, Motifluent processes related media and text to provide transcripts, segments, translations, vocabulary extraction, and audio playback features.

For podcast lessons, we may fetch episode audio from a third-party feed, store a user-scoped copy in our storage, send a temporary or signed-access URL to a transcription processor, receive transcript results, and store derived lesson data such as segments, words, timings, translations, and review metadata.

For song lessons and vocabulary features, we may process captions, transcript text, translations, meanings, and generated text-to- speech audio.

We use information we collect to:

• create and manage your account;
• authenticate you and keep you signed in;
• provide language-learning features such as lessons, translations, meanings, transcript processing, vocabulary tracking, review, and text-to-speech playback;
• personalize your language and content experience;
• process subscriptions, track premium entitlements, and enforce usage limits;
• send push notifications if you enable them;
• respond to support requests and improve the service;
• protect the security, integrity, and reliability of Motifluent;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Some features rely on third-party AI or language-processing providers. Depending on the feature, we may send text such as segment text, word text, source language, target language, and related context to translation, contextual meaning, or text-to- speech providers in order to generate outputs for you.

We may cache generated translations, meanings, and audio paths to improve performance and reduce repeated processing.

On the website, we use cookies or similar session mechanisms to support authentication, maintain your session, and protect the service. On mobile, we may store session and preference data locally on your device to keep you signed in and preserve settings.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers and partners that help us operate Motifluent, including providers for:

• authentication, database hosting, storage, and backend infrastructure;
• subscription management and billing event processing;
• push notification delivery;
• translation, AI meaning generation, and text-to-speech;
• podcast transcription processing;
• platform login providers such as Apple and Google.

Motifluent relies on third-party content and data sources, including podcast feeds, media metadata providers, and external platforms. Those providers may have their own privacy practices, which are not controlled by Motifluent.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, support learning features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data. Some cached or derived data may remain for operational reasons even after a specific feature output is no longer actively used.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted transport, authenticated access controls, server-side processing, and database policies designed to limit access to user data.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request a copy of certain personal information.

You can manage some information directly in the app, including language preferences, notification settings, subscription management through the relevant platform, and account deletion where available.

Motifluent is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact support@motifluent.com.
