Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Motifluent, including our mobile applications, website, and related services. By accessing or using Motifluent, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of Motifluent after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.

Motifluent is a language-learning service built around audio and media content. Depending on your plan, device, and region, Motifluent may let you browse songs and podcast episodes, create lessons from supported catalog content, view transcripts and translations, generate text-to-speech audio, save meanings, track vocabulary progress, review words, receive notifications, and manage language preferences and account settings.

Some features rely on third-party services, content sources, or app stores and may change, be limited, or become unavailable at any time.

You may need an account to use some or all parts of Motifluent. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and remain responsible for activity under your account.

Motifluent currently supports sign-in methods that may include email and password, Sign in with Apple, and Sign in with Google. Your use of those identity providers is also subject to their terms and policies.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, infringe rights, or create risk for Motifluent, our users, or our service providers.

Motifluent may offer free and paid plans. Premium features may include broader catalog access and monthly transcription or lesson creation limits.

If you purchase a subscription through a mobile app store or other third-party billing platform, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are handled by that platform under its terms. We do not control third-party billing policies.

Unless stated otherwise in the purchase flow, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You are responsible for managing your subscription through the platform you used to purchase it.

Usage limits, feature availability, and pricing may change. Unused quotas or allowances do not roll over unless we expressly say they do.

Motifluent depends on third-party infrastructure and content sources. These may include app stores, authentication providers, hosting and database vendors, analytics and error-monitoring tools, notification providers, subscription platforms, AI and translation services, and external media or metadata providers such as podcast feeds, YouTube, Apple, Spotify, or similar services.

We do not own third-party songs, podcasts, episode audio, video, artwork, captions, feeds, or metadata made available through Motifluent. Those materials belong to their respective owners and may be removed, blocked, or changed without notice.

Your use of third-party content through Motifluent is licensed only for your personal, non-commercial learning use inside the service, unless the rights holder expressly permits something broader.

Motifluent may provide machine-generated or AI-assisted features, including translations, contextual meanings, transcripts, text to speech, and vocabulary suggestions. These outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, offensive, delayed, or unavailable.

You are responsible for evaluating AI-generated output before relying on it. Motifluent is a learning tool, not a professional translation, transcription, or educational certification service.

You may submit or create certain content in Motifluent, such as account information, saved meanings, vocabulary choices, lesson activity, support messages, and feedback. You retain ownership of content you lawfully create or submit, but you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify, process, and display it as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support Motifluent.

If you send suggestions, ideas, or feedback, we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit any content you provide and that doing so does not violate any law or the rights of others.

You agree not to:

• use Motifluent for unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful purposes;
• copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish, redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit the service or third-party content made available through it;
• bypass paywalls, quotas, access controls, or technical limits;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, models, prompts, or underlying datasets except where prohibited by law;
• use bots or automation to access the service in a way that sends excessive requests or interferes with normal operation;
• upload or submit content that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• interfere with the security or integrity of Motifluent or its providers.

Motifluent and its original software, design, branding, and service materials are owned by Motifluent or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without permission.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content available through Motifluent infringes your rights, contact us at support@motifluent.com with enough detail for us to investigate, including the material at issue, the basis for your claim, and your contact information.

We may remove or disable access to content while reviewing a claim.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Motifluent at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for changes to features, content availability, device compatibility, or service interruptions.

Motifluent is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motifluent and its affiliates, licensors, service providers, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Motifluent will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You may stop using Motifluent at any time. You may also request account deletion through the app where available. If your account is deleted, some information may be removed immediately while certain records may be retained as required for legal, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or operational reasons.

We may suspend or terminate access to the service at any time if you violate these Terms or if continued access creates legal, technical, or business risk.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Motifluent service operator is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
