Rule: Verbs of movement + a + infinitive

  • Voy a continuar. (I'm going to continue.)

  • Pasar a visitarte. (To pass by to visit you.)

  • Only verbs of movement get this extra "a" before the next verb

  • Non-movement verbs connect directly: Quiero continuar. / Intento verlos.

Key notes

  • If you "forget" a word, work back to it through related words instead of panicking.

  • Demostrar comes from demostración. Mostrar is the simpler base verb inside it.

  • Only movement verbs take that extra a before the next infinitive. Non-movement verbs do not.
