Lo: The Interesting Thing

Lo + adjective = "the ___ thing": One of the most elegant structures in Spanish. Instead of saying "la cosa interesante," just say lo interesante — the interesting thing.

Structure	Meaning
lo interesante	the interesting thing
lo fácil	the easy thing
lo complicado	the complicated thing
lo de Juan	the thing about Juan / Juan's thing
lo de mañana	the thing about tomorrow

Junto/a/os/as = together (related to "junction"). Fácil = easy (think "facilitate"). Así = like that / in that way.

Lo de = the thing about / the matter of. Very useful: Quiero organizar lo de mañana = I want to organize the thing about tomorrow.
