Lesson 88

Puse, Supe, Estuve, Tuve, Pude

Language Transfer Complete Spanish is by Mihalis Eleftheriou. Listen to the original audio first; use these notes for revision.

Irregular preterite stems — all share the same endings (-e, -o, -ieron, -iste, -imos) with NO accent marks:

tenertuv-tuvetuvo
poderpud-pudepudo
ponerpus-pusepuso

Ir and Ser share the SAME preterite: fui, fue, fueron, fuiste, fuimos. Context always makes it clear.
