Lesson 25

Me, Te, Nos: Me, To Me, For Me

Language Transfer Complete Spanish is by Mihalis Eleftheriou. Listen to the original audio first; use these notes for revision.

This lesson expands how object pronouns work in real speech. Words like me and te can mean me / to me / for me and you / to you / for you, so Spanish often does not need extra prepositions that English uses.

Key notes

  • In many common expressions, me, te, nos already carry meanings like to me, for you, or ourselves, so Spanish often avoids extra linking words.

  • Quedar can mean to stay, to remain, or to arrange to meet, depending on context.

  • Clock time uses es la for one o'clock and son las for all other hours.
